Care gr\u0103din\u0103 este a\u015fa de frumoas\u0103 ca adunarea voastr\u0103? Aici nu-i \u015farpele, care ispite\u015fte, ci Hristos, Care ne \u00eenva\u0163\u0103 de tain\u0103; nu-i Eva, care ne pune piedic\u0103, ci Biserica, cea care ne \u0163ine \u00een picioare; nu sunt aici frunze de copac, ci rodul Duhului; nu-i aici gard de spini, ci vie plin\u0103 de bel\u015fug. Dac\u0103 g\u0103sesc spin \u00een ea, \u00eel schimb \u00een m\u0103slin &#8211; c\u0103 cele de aici nu sunt st\u00e2njenite de s\u0103r\u0103cia firii, ci cinstite cu libertatea de voin\u0163\u0103; dac\u0103 g\u0103sesc lup, \u00eel fac oaie, nu schimb\u00e2nd firea, ci pref\u0103c\u00e2nd voin\u0163a.<br \/>\nDe aceea n-ai gre\u015fi de-ai spune c\u0103 biserica e mai mare dec\u00e2t corabia lui Noe. Corabia lui Noe a primit \u00een ea animale \u015fi a p\u0103strat \u00een ea tot animale; biserica \u00eens\u0103 prime\u015fte animale \u015fi le schimb\u0103. Iat\u0103 ce vreau s\u0103 spun! A intrat \u00een corabie uliu, a ie\u015fit uliu; a intrat lup, a ie\u015fit lup.<br \/>\n\u00cen biseric\u0103 \u00eens\u0103 intr\u0103 uliu, \u015fi iese porumbi\u0163\u0103; intr\u0103 lup, \u015fi iese oaie; intr\u0103 \u015farpe, \u015fi iese miel. Nu se schimb\u0103 firea, ci este alungat p\u0103catul.<br \/>\nAsta e pricin\u0103 c\u0103 vorbesc mereu de poc\u0103in\u0163\u0103. C\u0103 poc\u0103in\u0163a, cumplit\u0103 \u015fi \u00eenfrico\u015f\u0103toare pentru p\u0103c\u0103tos, este leac p\u0103catelor, istovire a f\u0103r\u0103delegilor, sec\u0103tuire a lacrimilor, \u00eendr\u0103znire c\u0103tre Dumnezeu, arm\u0103 \u00eempotriva diavolului, sabie care-i t\u0103ie capul, n\u0103dejdea m\u00e2ntuirii, pieirea dezn\u0103dejdii.<!--more--><br \/>\nPoc\u0103in\u0163a deschide cerul, poc\u0103in\u0163a ne bag\u0103 \u00een rai, poc\u0103in\u0163a biruie pe diavol, dup\u0103 cum \u00eencrederea \u00een noi ne face s\u0103 c\u0103dem. De aceea v\u0103 vorbesc mereu de poc\u0103in\u0163\u0103! E\u015fti p\u0103c\u0103tos? Nu dezn\u0103d\u0103jdui! \u015ei eu nu voi \u00eenceta de a v\u0103 unge ne\u00eencetat cu aceste alifii. \u015etiu doar ce arm\u0103 puternic\u0103 avem \u00eempotriva diavolului atunci c\u00e2nd nu pierdem n\u0103dejdea. De ai p\u0103cate, nu dezn\u0103d\u0103jdui! \u015ei n-am s\u0103 \u00eencetez de a-\u0163i spune necontenit aceasta. De p\u0103c\u0103tuie\u015fti \u00een fiecare zi, \u00een fiecare zi poc\u0103ie\u015fte-te! S\u0103 facem cu noi ceea ce facem cu casele noastre, care se \u00eenvechesc; c\u00e2nd p\u0103r\u0163i din ele putrezesc, scoatem p\u0103r\u0163ile putrezite \u015fi punem \u00een loc materiale noi; \u015fi niciodat\u0103 nu \u00eencet\u0103m a face asta. Te-ai \u00eenvechit azi din pricina p\u0103catului? \u00cennoie\u015fte-te prin poc\u0103in\u0163\u0103!<br \/>\n&#8211; Dar pot s\u0103 m\u0103 m\u00e2ntuiesc dac\u0103 m\u0103 poc\u0103iesc?<br \/>\n&#8211; Da, po\u0163i!<br \/>\n&#8211; Am tr\u0103it toat\u0103 via\u0163a \u00een p\u0103cate! Dac\u0103 m\u0103 poc\u0103iesc, m\u0103 m\u00e2ntuiesc?<br \/>\n&#8211; Da!<br \/>\n&#8211; De unde \u015ftiu?<br \/>\n&#8211; De la iubirea de oameni a St\u0103p\u00e2nului t\u0103u!<br \/>\n&#8211; S\u0103 am, oare, \u00eencredere numai \u00een poc\u0103in\u0163a de care \u00eemi vorbe\u015fti? Este, oare, \u00een stare poc\u0103in\u0163a s\u0103 \u015ftearg\u0103 at\u00e2tea p\u0103cate?<br \/>\n&#8211; Dac\u0103 ar fi numai poc\u0103in\u0163a, atunci, pe bun\u0103 dreptate, teme-te! Dar c\u00e2nd iubirea de oameni a lui Dumnezeu se al\u0103tur\u0103 poc\u0103in\u0163ei, prinde curaj! Iubirea lui Dumnezeu nu are hotar, nici bun\u0103tatea Lui nu se poate t\u0103lm\u0103ci cu cuv\u00e2ntul. P\u0103catul t\u0103u are hotar; leacul \u00eens\u0103 nu are hotar. P\u0103catul t\u0103u, oricum ar fi, este p\u0103cat f\u0103cut de om; dar iubirea de oameni a lui Dumnezeu este negr\u0103it\u0103. Ai curaj! Poc\u0103in\u0163a biruie p\u0103catul! \u00cenchipuie-\u0163i o sc\u00e2nteie ce cade \u00een ocean! Poate r\u0103m\u00e2ne ea aprins\u0103? Poate s\u0103 se vad\u0103? Nu! Ei bine, ce e sc\u00e2nteia fa\u0163\u0103 de ocean, aceea e p\u0103catul fa\u0163\u0103 de iubirea de oameni a lui Dumnezeu. Dar, mai bine spus, nici at\u00e2ta. Oceanul, oric\u00e2t de mare-ar fi, tot are margini. Bun\u0103tatea lui Dumnezeu \u00eens\u0103 e f\u0103r\u0103 de margini.<br \/>\nNu v\u0103 spun acestea ca s\u0103 v\u0103 fac tr\u00e2ndavi, ci ca s\u0103 v\u0103 fac \u015fi mai s\u00e2rguitori.<br \/>\nV-am sf\u0103tuit de at\u00e2tea ori s\u0103 nu v\u0103 mai duce\u0163i la teatru. Ai auzit, dar nu mai ascultat. Te-ai dus la teatru \u015fi ai c\u0103lcat cuv\u00e2ntul meu. Dar s\u0103 nu te ru\u015finezi s\u0103 vii iar\u0103\u015fi la biseric\u0103 \u015fi s\u0103 m\u0103 auzi din nou!<br \/>\n&#8211; Te-am auzit \u015fi nu \u0163i-am p\u0103zit cuv\u00e2ntul! Cum pot s\u0103 mai vin iar\u0103\u015fi la biseric\u0103?<br \/>\n&#8211; Deocamdat\u0103, \u015ftii c\u0103 n-ai p\u0103zit cuv\u00e2ntul meu! Deocamdat\u0103, te ru\u015finezi, ro\u015fe\u015fti, por\u0163i z\u0103bala, f\u0103r\u0103 s\u0103 te mai mustre cineva! Deocamdat\u0103, cuv\u00e2ntul meu a prins r\u0103d\u0103cin\u0103 \u00een cugetul t\u0103u, iar \u00eenv\u0103\u0163\u0103tura mea te cur\u0103\u0163e\u015fte f\u0103r\u0103 ca eu s\u0103 m\u0103 ar\u0103t. Nu mi-ai p\u0103zit cuv\u00e2ntul! Dar te os\u00e2nde\u015fti! Ei bine, pe jum\u0103tate l-ai p\u0103zit, chiar dac\u0103 nu 1-ai p\u0103zit! L-ai p\u0103zit, pentru c\u0103 ai spus: &#8222;Nu l-am p\u0103zit!&#8221;. Cel care se \u00eenvinuie\u015fte c\u0103 n-a p\u0103zit cuv\u00e2ntul meu, se s\u00e2rguie\u015fte s\u0103-1 p\u0103zeasc\u0103. Ai fost la spectacol? Ai s\u0103v\u00e2r\u015fit f\u0103r\u0103delegea? Ai ajuns rob unei femei desfr\u00e2nate? Ai venit de la teatru? \u0162i-ai adus din nou aminte de cuv\u00e2ntul meu? Te-ai ru\u015finat? Ei bine, vino la biseric\u0103! Te-ai \u00eentristat? Roag\u0103-te lui Dumnezeu! Te-ai ridicat p\u00e2n\u0103 la at\u00e2ta!<br \/>\n&#8211; Vai mie, am auzit cuv\u00e2ntul t\u0103u \u015fi nu 1-am p\u0103zit! Cum s\u0103 mai intru \u00een biseric\u0103? Cum s\u0103-1 mai aud iar\u0103\u015fi?<br \/>\n&#8211; Dimpotriv\u0103, intr\u0103! Intr\u0103 tocmai pentru c\u0103 nu 1-ai p\u0103zit, ca s\u0103-1 auzi din nou \u015fi s\u0103-1 p\u0103ze\u015fti. Dac\u0103 doctorul \u00ee\u0163i d\u0103 o doctorie \u015fi nu te vindeci, nu-\u0163i mai d\u0103, oare, a doua zi aceea\u015fi doctorie? S\u0103 ne \u00eenchipuim un t\u0103ietor de lemne. Vrea s\u0103 taie un stejar, \u00ee\u015fi ia toporul \u015fi d\u0103 cu el la r\u0103d\u0103cin\u0103. Dac\u0103-i d\u0103 o lovitur\u0103 \u015fi nu cade copacul cel f\u0103r\u0103 de roade, nu-i d\u0103, oare, alt\u0103 lovitur\u0103, a patra, a cincea, a zecea? F\u0103 \u015fi tu la fel! Stejar este desfr\u00e2narea, e copac f\u0103r\u0103 de roade; face ghind\u0103, hran\u0103 pentru porci. De mult\u0103 vreme e \u00eenr\u0103d\u0103cinat\u0103 desfr\u00e2narea \u00een sufletul t\u0103u! A acoperit con\u015ftiin\u0163a ta cu coaj\u0103 de copaci. Cuv\u00e2ntul meu e toporul. L-ai auzit \u00eentr-o singur\u0103 zi! Cum s\u0103 fie dobor\u00e2t\u0103 desfr\u00e2narea dintr-o dat\u0103, c\u00e2nd e \u00eenr\u0103d\u0103cinat\u0103 \u00een tine de at\u00e2ta vreme? S\u0103 nu te minunezi de-mi vei auzi cuv\u00e2ntul de dou\u0103 ori, de trei ori, de o sut\u0103 de ori, chiar de zeci de mii de ori! Caut\u0103 numai s\u0103 tai lucrul cel r\u0103u \u015fi v\u00e2njos, adic\u0103 obi\u015fnuin\u0163a cea rea. Iudeii m\u00e2ncau man\u0103 \u00een pustie \u015fi c\u0103utau ceapa din Egipt, spun\u00e2nd: \u201eBine ne era nou\u0103 \u00een Egipt!\u201c (Numeri 11, 18). At\u00e2t de ru\u015finos \u015fi r\u0103u lucru este obi\u015fnuin\u0163a cu p\u0103catul! I\u0163i spun: Nu te iubesc, nu-\u0163i mul\u0163umesc, nu te \u00eembr\u0103\u0163i\u015fez pentru c\u0103 ai reu\u015fit s\u0103 te dezb\u0103ri de obi\u015fnuin\u0163a cea rea \u00een zece zile, \u00een dou\u0103zeci de zile sau \u00een treizeci de zile, ci te iubesc pentru c\u0103 nu ai dezn\u0103d\u0103jduit; te iubesc pentru c\u0103 te-ai ru\u015finat de p\u0103cat \u015fi l-ai os\u00e2ndit.<br \/>\nIar\u0103\u015fi am \u00eenceput s\u0103 vorbesc despre dragoste!<br \/>\nAi auzit cuv\u00e2ntul meu, ai plecat de la biseric\u0103 \u015fi l-ai c\u0103lcat? N-ai f\u0103cut ce \u0163i-am spus? S\u0103 nu te ru\u015finezi s\u0103 vii iar\u0103\u015fi la biseric\u0103! Ru\u015fineaz\u0103-te c\u00e2nd p\u0103c\u0103tuie\u015fti, nu te ru\u015fina c\u00e2nd te poc\u0103ie\u015fti! Uit\u0103-te ce a f\u0103cut diavolul din tine!<br \/>\nP\u0103catul \u015fi poc\u0103in\u0163a sunt dou\u0103 lucruri diferite. P\u0103catul este ran\u0103, poc\u0103in\u0163a, leac. Dup\u0103 cum \u00een trup sunt \u015fi r\u0103ni, dar exist\u0103 \u015fi doctorii, tot a\u015fa \u015fi \u00een suflet sunt \u015fi p\u0103cate, \u015fi poc\u0103in\u0163\u0103.<br \/>\nP\u0103catul aduce ru\u015fine, poc\u0103in\u0163a, \u00eendr\u0103znire. Ascult\u0103-m\u0103, te rog, cu mare luare-aminte, ca nu cumva, amestec\u00e2nd r\u00e2nduiala, s\u0103 pierzi folosul. Exist\u0103 deci ran\u0103 \u015fi doctorie, p\u0103cat \u015fi poc\u0103in\u0163\u0103. P\u0103catul este rana, poc\u0103in\u0163a &#8211; doctoria, \u00een ran\u0103 este puroi, \u00een doctorie, cur\u0103\u0163ire de puroi; \u00een p\u0103cat, puroi, \u00een p\u0103cat, ocar\u0103, \u00een p\u0103cat, batjocur\u0103; \u00een poc\u0103in\u0163\u0103, \u00eendr\u0103znire, \u00een poc\u0103in\u0163\u0103, libertate, \u00een poc\u0103in\u0163\u0103, cur\u0103\u0163ire de p\u0103cate.<br \/>\nAscult\u0103-m\u0103 cu luare-aminte!<br \/>\nP\u0103catului \u00eei urmeaz\u0103 ru\u015finea, poc\u0103in\u0163ei, \u00eendr\u0103znirea. E\u015fti atent la cele ce spun? Satana a schimbat r\u00e2nduiala asta \u015fi a dat p\u0103catului \u00eendr\u0103znire, iar poc\u0103in\u0163ei, ru\u015fine. N-am s\u0103 m\u0103 opresc din vorbit p\u00e2n\u0103 disear\u0103, p\u00e2n\u0103 nu voi l\u0103muri ce spun! Trebuie s\u0103-mi \u00eemplinesc f\u0103g\u0103duin\u0163a. E cu neputin\u0163\u0103 s\u0103 m\u0103 st\u0103p\u00e2nesc. Exist\u0103 ran\u0103 \u015fi doctorie; rana are puroi; doctoria, puterea de a cura\u0163i puroiul.<br \/>\nEste, oare, puroi \u00een doctorie? Este, oare, vindecare \u00een ran\u0103? Nu-\u015fi p\u0103streaz\u0103, oare, rana r\u00e2nduiala ei, iar doctoria, r\u00e2nduiala ei? Se poate schimba, oare, ran\u0103 \u00een doctorie \u015fi doctoria \u00een ran\u0103? Nicidecum! S\u0103 venim acum la sufletul p\u0103c\u0103to\u015filor. P\u0103catul are ru\u015fine, p\u0103catul are ocar\u0103 \u015fi mo\u015ftenire &#8211; necinstea; poc\u0103in\u0163a are \u00eendr\u0103znire, poc\u0103in\u0163a are post, poc\u0103in\u0163a are dreptate.<br \/>\n\u201eSpune tu, mai \u00eent\u00e2i, f\u0103r\u0103delegile tale, ca s\u0103 te \u00eendreptezi\u201c (Isaia 43, 26) \u015ei: \u201eDreptul este singur p\u00e2r\u00e2\u015ful lui de la cel dint\u00e2i cuv\u00e2nt\u201c (Pilde 18, 17). Satana, \u015ftiind c\u0103 p\u0103catul e \u00eenso\u0163it de ru\u015fine, care e \u00een stare s\u0103 \u00eendep\u0103rteze pe p\u0103c\u0103tos de p\u0103cat, iar poc\u0103in\u0163a este \u00eenso\u0163it\u0103 de \u00eendr\u0103znire, care e \u00een stare s\u0103 atrag\u0103 pe cel care se poc\u0103ie\u015fte, a schimbat r\u00e2nduiala \u015fi a dat poc\u0103in\u0163ei ru\u015finea, iar p\u0103catului, \u00eendr\u0103znirea.<br \/>\n&#8211; De unde aceasta?<br \/>\n&#8211; \u0162i-o spun eu! P\u0103c\u0103tosul este t\u00e2r\u00e2t de poft\u0103 cumplit\u0103 spre o femeie desfr\u00e2nat\u0103; merge \u00een urma desfr\u00e2natei ca un rob; intr\u0103 \u00een locuin\u0163a ei; nu se ru\u015fineaz\u0103, nu ro\u015fe\u015fte c\u00e2nd se \u00eempreuneaz\u0103 cu desfr\u00e2nata, c\u00e2nd s\u0103v\u00e2r\u015fe\u015fte p\u0103catul; nici un pic de ru\u015fine, nici un pic de ro\u015fea\u0163\u0103 pe obraz. Iese de acolo dup\u0103 s\u0103v\u00e2r\u015firea p\u0103catului. Dar, ca s\u0103 se poc\u0103iasc\u0103, se ru\u015fineaz\u0103. Nemernice! C\u00e2nd te \u00eempreunai cu defr\u00e2nata nu te ru\u015finai, dar c\u00e2nd ai venit s\u0103 te poc\u0103ie\u015fti, te ru\u015finezi? \u00cemi spui c\u0103 \u0163i-e ru\u015fine? Pentru ce nu \u0163i-a fost ru\u015fine c\u00e2nd te desfr\u00e2nai? S\u0103v\u00e2r\u015fe\u015fte fapta \u015fi nu se ru\u015fineaz\u0103! O spune \u015fi ro\u015fe\u015fte! A diavolului este viclenia aceasta! Diavolul nu-1 las\u0103 pe p\u0103c\u0103tos s\u0103 se ru\u015fineze c\u00e2nd face p\u0103catul, ci-1 \u00eempinge s\u0103-1 s\u0103v\u00e2r\u015feasc\u0103 \u00een v\u0103zul lumii. \u015etie, doar, diavolul c\u0103, dac\u0103 s-ar ru\u015fina, ar fugi de p\u0103cat; dar \u00eel face s\u0103 se ru\u015fineze c\u00e2nd se poc\u0103ie\u015fte; \u015ftie, doar, diavolul c\u0103, dac\u0103 se ru\u015fineaz\u0103 s\u0103-\u015fi spun\u0103 p\u0103catul, nu se mai poc\u0103ie\u015fte. Doar rele \u00eei face diavolul: \u00eel atrage spre p\u0103cat \u015fi-1 \u00eendep\u0103rteaz\u0103 de poc\u0103in\u0163\u0103.<br \/>\nPentru ce \u0163i-e ru\u015fine s\u0103-\u0163i spui p\u0103catul? C\u00e2nd ai f\u0103cut desfr\u00e2nare nu \u0163i-a fost ru\u015fine. C\u00e2nd iei doctoria te ru\u015finezi? C\u00e2nd te scapi de p\u0103cat te ru\u015finezi? Se cuvenea s\u0103 te ru\u015finezi atunci c\u00e2nd p\u0103c\u0103tuiai! Atunci trebuia s\u0103-\u0163i fie ru\u015fine! C\u00e2nd ai ajuns p\u0103c\u0103tos nu te-ai ru\u015finat, \u015fi te ru\u015finezi acum, c\u00e2nd ai s\u0103 ajungi drept. Spune tu, mai \u00eent\u00e2i, f\u0103r\u0103delegile tale, ca s\u0103 te \u00eendreptezi. C\u00e2t este de mare iubirea de oameni a St\u0103p\u00e2nului! N-a spus: \u201eCa s\u0103 nu fii pedepsit!\u201c, ci \u201eca s\u0103 te \u00eendreptezil\u201c.<br \/>\n&#8211; Nu \u00eei este de-ajuns, Doamne, p\u0103c\u0103tosului c\u0103 nu-1 pedepse\u015fti? Pentru ce \u00eel mai faci \u00eenc\u0103 \u015fi drept?<br \/>\n&#8211; Nu!, \u00ee\u0163i r\u0103spunde Dumnezeu. Uit\u0103-te cu luare-aminte la cuvintele: \u201e\u00cel fac drept\u201c.<br \/>\n&#8211; Dar cu cine a f\u0103cut St\u0103p\u00e2nul \u0103sta?<br \/>\n&#8211; Cu t\u00e2lharul! C\u00e2nd t\u00e2lharul a spus celuilalt t\u00e2lhar numai acele cuvinte: \u201eNu te temi tu de Dumnezeu? Noi pe bun\u0103 dreptate, c\u0103 am primit cele cuvenite pentru faptele noastre\u201c (Luca 23, 40-41), atunci M\u00e2ntuitorul i-a spus: \u201eAst\u0103zi vei fi cu Mine \u00een rai!\u201c (Luca 23, 43). Nu i-a spus: \u201eTe scap de os\u00e2nd\u0103 \u015fi de pedeaps\u0103\u201c, ci 1-a f\u0103cut drept \u015fi 1-a adus \u00een rai.<br \/>\nAi v\u0103zut c\u0103 a ajuns drept \u00een urma m\u0103rturisirii? Mult iubitor de oameni este Dumnezeu! Nu \u015ei-a cru\u0163at pe Fiul S\u0103u, ca s\u0103 cru\u0163e pe rob! A dat pe cel Unul N\u0103scut, ca s\u0103 r\u0103scumpere ni\u015fte robi nerecunosc\u0103tori! A dat S\u00e2ngele cel scump al Fiului Lui! O, iubire de oameni a St\u0103p\u00e2nului!
